Area of interest

Interconnection between immunity and metabolism in physiological conditions and in acute and chronic pathological settings (including cardiovascular, neurological, oncological, microbiological fields, etc.).

Objectives

  • Networking: to create a space where researchers interested in immunometabolism can meet and exchange ideas, share expertise and experiences, discuss ongoing projects, develop scientific collaborations—including grant applications—and promote the sharing of experimental and animal models, as well as research resources and infrastructures.
  • Training: to engage early‑career researchers and make them aware of the scientific and professional opportunities offered by the field of immunometabolism.
  • Cross‑fertilization: to promote interaction among researchers from different disciplines in order to deepen the reciprocal relationship between the immune system and metabolism in both physiological and pathological conditions.
