Committee for Equality

Components:

Objectives:

• Raise awareness in SIICA and the entire national and international scientific community on issues such as gender equality and ethnic equality, documenting and highlighting discrimination still present in the scientific environment

• Support for discriminated parties

Activities:

•  Prosecute existing initiatives (eg. Ricercata) and establish and promote new initiatives aimed at supporting the discriminated parties in their career and in their projects
• Collection of funds to cover the various initiatives and to promote them.
• In collaboration with the social media committee, dissemination of news, information and initiatives in support of the proposed objectives
• Liaison activities with European commissions (eg: EFIS “Diversity Task Force”) that share the same objectives
